Finally Yahoo's Defence is Breached in Microsoft Outlook

This Post may spread a huge surprise; rather smile in the faces of the people who use the Microsoft Outlook. Although most of the email service providers’ viz., Gmail, Aol, Hotmail etc. were friendly and unanimous with Microsoft Outlook, Yahoo isn’t so! Yahoo restricted the accessibility of mail in Outlook. Which is:

·         Yahoo won’t allow basic mail accounts to access Microsoft Outlook Till date.

·         Yahoo mail can be accessed in Outlook if and only if it is upgraded. I.e. Yahoo mail basic to Yahoo Mail Plus which costs around 20$ per year.

But for those who really needed Yahoo mail basic to be accessed in Outlook, there is good news waiting for you! Yes Yahoo’s so called defence is finally breached.

Yahoo Mail settings for Outlook:

Settings:
Account Type:  IMAP
Incoming mail server:  imap.mail.yahoo.com
Outgoing mail server:  smtp.mail.yahoo.co.in [ Just replace the .in as .uk if in United Kingdom, .sg in Singapore and so]
You must use your full Yahoo e-mail address as the User Name. You cannot use just your Yahoo ID!!!
"Save My Password" Checkbox:  Checked

Internet E-mail Settings:
Incoming server (IMAP):  993
Encryption Level:  SSL
Outgoing server (IMAP):  465
Encryption Level:  SSL
Server Timeout:  1 minute
In the Outgoing Server tab, you must also check: My outgoing server requires authentication, otherwise you will not be able to send out e-mails!

The following errors can occur to you while accessing Yahoo Mail Basic in Outlook:

·         Connection Error
·         Header Error
·         IMAP Connection Failed

Believe me it is not a problem after all. There is no need to worry at all. You can send and receive mail through Microsoft Outlook.

That’s it! You can now access the Yahoo Mail Basic in Microsoft Outlook!!
